In the Sunlit Garden

Who: Anthy and Seymour
Where: Victory Road - the National Park
When: Daytime
Rated: PG 13 for Seymour having killed a man and Anthy being...Anthy
What: Blank needs to test drive someone!

[The National Park was even more lovely than Anthy had hoped. The winter seemed to have melted away from this place, even if it was just for an unusually warm day, and shy buds were attempting to peek out of tender, green shoots. Anthy walks among them as easily as she breathes, pausing often to take a look at the plants trying so hard to bloom, and shaking her head when she finally moves on to the next.]

Go back to sleep, little plants. It's not time to wake up yet.

[She mutters this a lot, the occasional rustling of a Pokemon in the bushes and grass not a bother to her as she checks leaves and stems with a critical eye. Hmmm. Well tended, this park...that's good. Better than she'd hoped for.

Of course, she thinks she's alone in this quiet part of the park, but that is always subject to change. Who might she meet around the bend of a path, under a tree? Let's see...]

[Seymour was never a huge fan of winter. He wasn't quite sure how much of it was the fact that his basement didn't have any sort of heating in the winter or if it was because a lot of plants die during this season, but he couldn't understand how anyone could enjoy it.

But on this day he thought it would be nice to finally try going to The National Park. While the plants were hardly there at this point it was soothing to see that already the plants were coming back. Even if he did have a slight feeling of dread for the next frost.

It felt... weird looking at plants now, though. Not necessarily bad, he supposes, but it's really hard to look at plants for him right now and not expect at least one of them to start demanding blood from him.

He's so distracted by looking at the plants, however, that he almost completely barrels into Anthy while turning the corner, just bearly through some miracle missing her.]

S-sorry about that! I didn't know anyone else was here.

Right, I should have realized that.

[He looks almost ashamed that it didn't occur to him that other people would be here, even though Anthy just said herself she was surprised.]

So um, what are you doing here, if you don't mind me asking? It's still a bit early for the plants to start thriving again.

Me too, just small proof that the plants will come back is good enough for me.

[Well at least someone else here seems to be fond of plants.]

... You have any idea what kind of plants normally grow here? I thought it would be the same as normal plants on Earth, but now I'm not sure now that I think about it.

[He might be slightly paranoid but hey there are living plants here can you blame him?]

Oh right, I recognized those, I just can't help but wonder if there are any species I overlooked that I don't recognize.

[He sighs, realizing he probably sounds pretty weird right now.]

... I feel like I'm overthinking this. It doesn't really matter what kind of plants are here, does it?

I guess it is. Kinda comforting too.

[... Wait no.]

I-I mean, it's just something that reminds you of home, I guess. Not that I'm really eager to go back home anytime soon.

Oh, I'm guessing your home isn't great either?

[Tactful.]

Oh really? I'm glad you got out at least.

... Unless by "left" you meant "arrive here". I'm still not sure what to make of all this.

Oh, that's good then! You'll never have to worry about that place again.

[He can't say he doesn't envy her.

Seymour rubs his shoulder awkwardly.]

I'm glad I'm not alone. It's so hard to get used to-

["Sentient plants who don't seem to crave human flesh" was what he was about to finish with, but he realizes that would have been very bad.]

Um... moving plants?
