It is, and yes. As...odd as I'm sure you'll find that. But, believe me, there are many odder things in the world.

[Jane trails off. What to do now...]

Well...I just came from a town where I became a magical girl, so I know about "odder" things. It just seems weird that I'd end up here somehow! [A pause] Have-have you seen a girl named Dia, or a guy called Ryuzaki? [Another pause] Or Beyond Birthday.

[Jane shakes her head.] Sorry...I haven't. But I was...in a weird computer simulation for two months, and now we're both in a spaceship. I don't think things can get any weirder.

A simulation? Was it...inside the spaceship, like that holodeck thing on science fiction shows?

I guess you could call it that. We were all hooked up into these pods, though...they're still in the other room, but...

[She lets the sentence drop. Nobody wants to go back in that room.]

[Okay, that sounds creepy.] Someone...trapped you in there? [Is that why she sounds so hesitant?]

Yes...and we don't know who, or where they are. [A pause.] Or how we even came to be in there.

...that's really creepy. Oh, um, I should help you pick these up, right? [Eliza bends down to pick up one of the shirts.] Latte art? Why is there a team for that?

[Jane's cheeks turn pink.] Uuuh...um, d-don't worry about it! I was only using these to...make something to lay on...t-there's really nothing important about teams or the like, it's all really stupid and actually creepy in origin?

Creepy? Does it have something to do with the people who trapped you in those pods?

...Yes.

[At least she didn't get the Team SurvivHeir shirts...?]

[Hey, it's not like she'd know what it meant! Although...it takes a while for her to start putting things together.] Were people watching you guys? Like a really freaky reality TV show? [She's never liked those shows anyways.]

Y...yes.......

[So red in the face right now. So red.]

Did...did they also have creepy detailed videogames all about your life? [She's folding up that shirt and picking up some more, although at least she isn't reading them right now.]

N...o? Though I was kind of...living in a video game before I ended up in space. That's it's own confusing story, though.

Did...did anything happen to you in that game before you ended up here? [She touches her neck again.] If this is some kind of afterlife...

A lot happened in that game. It's called Sburb - [A pause.] Oh God, don't tell me you've played it.

[Eliza shakes her head quickly.] I don't even know that name. But...but I guess what was going on in Town A could count as...as a game. [Her voice goes quieter] It seemed so fun and harmless at first...

...But it turned out all wrong, didn't it?

...the second week, we were told there were too many of us, and we had to be brought down to four.

[Jane gasps at that. No...not another...]

...And they...they expected you to kill to narrow it down, didn't they?

[A quiet nod.] But there would be...trials, if someone was killed. And if you were caught...there would be an execution. A...a terrible execution.

[Jane is trying her very best not to shake too visibly.]

...How many of these terrible games are there...

...there can't be that many, can there? Someone would have found out and stopped them!

[She hesitates for a moment, then reaches forward to hug Jane.]

[She accepts the hug, after a split second of surprise at the gesture. Hugs are...very sorely needed, amongst the murdergame'd.]

...I don't know. I-I don't even want to think about it...!
