Okay, then go with soup.
Do you have vegetables in the house? They don't have to be fresh. In fact, frozen or canned would cook faster.
Do you have stock or bouillon? If not, check to see if you have those packages of instant ramen. They always have flavor packets, and then you'll have noodles for the soup too.
Just follow the water directions on the back of the package for how many cups you'll have to put in.
It's quick, it's cheap, but it's a hot meal and it'll fill you up.
You can even make a lot of it at once if you have to.

Is cooking with bouillon different than those packets?

It's somewhat different.
You'll want one cube of it for each cup of water - or if it's the jarred stuff, one tablespoon for each cup.
That's what makes the water turn to broth.
I suppose you could put meat in there too, if you wanted to be ambitious.
Do you have anything pre-cooked and frozen on hand? Maybe meatballs?

Sure! It's under the same kind of principle as frozen vegetables.
The water will have to come to a boil, and by then everything will be thawed out and hot.
You could also do frozen dumplings, they're good in soup.

I don't think we have those, but there's pirogi in the freezer.

I'm pretty sure you kicking his butt was fairly instrumental to the process.
He always looks really happy after you two have been sparring, like he's honestly enjoying himself! But not in a gross way.
As for anything else, I am not his confidant, so I wouldn't know and I suggest you have a talk to him about it if you're very concerned.

I can't even imagine it other than what we usually do when I go over to visit.
Which isn't that much different than what happens when I'm around Serah. Just a lot of talking, doing things together, and spending time together.
I just feel that it might change if he were to ever want to marry me, and that scares me.

[I.e. mom is afraid that this might end up bad if it happens and they break up.]

There's nothing wrong with any of that, though.
Talking and doing things together and spending time together...if you love someone, even spending time doing hard work isn't so hard.
And if it changes, you'll both be working through those changes together. That's part of what being married is.
Besides, I certainly don't expect that to happen between you two for quite some time. You and Xander both like to take your time thinking about things and figuring out how to do them in the best way possible. Even if you are a little scared, I'll bet he's scared, too, so...you'll kind of need that time.
